We have enthusiastically supported the Silver Spring House since it re-opened under new ownership, going there two or three times per month. The food, service and atmosphere had been great up until a couple of months ago. The last two visits, within the last month, were downright bad. The servers don't even try (Tiffany tonight never smiled or checked on us. I normally would have complained about the food - the requested rare burgers were all well-done, but it's just not worth the energy) and I never see the owner around anymore. Every time we went there we would normally spend around $100 for the four of us. But it's just not worth it. The place used to be packed, but no longer. So my guess is we're not the only ones who see the place slipping. There's too many good neighborhood establishments to go to waste my $$ here. The bloom is certainly off the rose at the Silver Spring House.
