This fixture on the main road of the BF Homes residential area has managed to stay open on the increasingly busy stretch of road it is located on. This is quite a feat, given the ever-increasing number of competitors at different price points. The secret of Sinangag Express (SEx, to locals)? A great combination of low price points, good tasting-dishes and acceptable portion size. The short wait before your order is served and the fact that the establishment is open 24/7 also provide bonus points. The only tradeoff is the spartan ambience; despite efforts to make the place look appealing, greasy tables and plastic plates and cups tell you that you're far from fancy dining. Still, this is a minor footnote for the value for money. Perhaps the top dish of SEx is the tapa, which comes as shreds instead of the chunks you would normally expect. No fat here; all you get is delicious beef. A less-popular (but in my opinion, even better order) is the Special Pares, which is on the small side but definitely delicious. Just don't expect it to come with soup (perhaps they should call it beef stew instead). Add some chill oil (from the condiments on your table) to your rice and you're all set for a great meal at a very wallet-friendly price.
