Amazing Dining Experience at Sita, Atlantic City My name is Priya When we first came to Sita in Atlantic City, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We thought it might be just another traditional Indian restaurant. However, by the end of our very first meal, my husband Ish and I were absolutely blown away. Everything exceeded our expectations—the food was exceptional, the ambiance was beautiful, and the overall dining experience was outstanding. What truly made our visit memorable was the incredible service provided by our server, Amit. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The experience was so impressive that we returned the following year, and since then, we've found ourselves coming back evening after evening. The consistency in both the quality of the food and the service keeps us returning. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine paired with outstanding hospitality, Sita is a must-visit. Come and enjoy an amazing dining experience and some of the best Indian food in Atlantic City, New Jersey! Highly recommended! Found a new restaurant in the Hard Rock Atlantic City this past weekend. The food was delicious and served quickly. I had their chicken 65, lamb tacos, chicken tikka, and ras malai tres leches. The chef knew what he was doing when he added some of his flavor variations - especially on the chicken 65 and ras malai. The taco being having a paratha shell was a great touch. I also had the traditional Kala cutta mocktail drink, and that was phenomenal. 100 percent would go back and highly recommend. I am a lifelong New Yorker who has spent summers in South Jersey since the late 1980s. I eat Indian food regularly, have traveled to India, and have eaten at many of New York’s best-known Indian restaurants, including Adda in both Queens and Manhattan. After seeing Sitar’s billboards and overwhelmingly positive reviews, I was genuinely excited to try it. Unfortunately, our Saturday-night dinner was a major disappointment. The restaurant was only about half full, yet the service was confused from the moment we arrived. Multiple employees asked for the same water order, staff seemed unsure who was serving us, and our main courses arrived before the appetizers had been cleared, leading to an awkward scramble because there was no room on the table. The appetizers were mixed. The lamb tacos were acceptable but unremarkable. The samosa itself was good, but it was buried under so many cold sauces and competing sweet and spicy flavors that the dish became muddled. The main courses were the real problem. My butter chicken and my partner’s paneer dish arrived cold, with darkened, crusted surfaces suggesting they had been sitting for some time. We almost never send food back, but these were not acceptable. We were initially told they would be microwaved. When they returned, we were told they had been remade, but they were still only unevenly warm. The butter chicken was excessively creamy and had an unpleasant flavor that reminded me of dish soap. It lacked the balance, tomato, spice, smoke, and depth of a good butter chicken. The rice was bland, and the paneer dish also tasted off. The cheese-garlic naan was overloaded with cheese and resembled a greasy pizza, while the onion kulcha was overwhelmed by onion. Both breads were saturated with grease. After only a spoonful or two, we stopped eating and asked for the check. Despite the large number of staff, it took multiple requests to locate our server. She repeatedly pressed us to explain why we had eaten so little, so we finally answered honestly. The bill came to just under $200 with tip. At that price, cold food, disorganized service, greasy breads, and poorly executed curries are unacceptable. Even the laminated menu simply listed dish names without descriptions, forcing us to use the website at the table. I truly wanted Sitar to be the excellent Indian restaurant Atlantic City and South Jersey deserve. Based on this visit, it did not come remotely close to Adda or the better Indian restaurants in New York. I cannot reconcile our experience with the glowing reviews that brought us there. One star. I would give zero if that were an option. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $80–90 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
