This is the greatest spot near Rose Kennedy Greenway. Many people visit this bar to try nicely cooked steak frites, wagyu steaks and bolognese. Nothing can be better than tasting good fruitcake, tarte tatin and olive cakes. It's a must while visiting Sj's Restaurant to order delicious martinis.
A number of guests note that the staff is terrific at this place. This place is notable for its professional service. You will definitely appreciate the cool atmosphere and lovely decor. This spot scored 4.5 in the Google rating system.

This restaurant has such a lovely vibe ! Warm, stylish, and inviting from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special night out. The servers were wonderful: attentive, present, and genuinely kind without ever feeling intrusive. The food was delicious across the board. The steak was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. The shrimp ravioli pasta was another standout, well‑seasoned, and full of flavor. The cocktails were excellent too, balanced and creative. And the desserts WOW! The dark chocolate olive oil cake was decadent without being heavy, and the strawberry shortcake mille‑feuille was fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience. Nancy, the bartender was a hoot! For the 10th and final bowl of chowder during my epic Boston Chowder Crawl we stumbled upon SJ's and waddled in on a whim. Not only was the bowl very rich and tasty, but the lady behind the bar was a riot. I'm pretty sure her name was Nancy. She totally would have snuck me some Jameson when my wife wasn't looking, but I was being watched like a hawk. I opted for a bottle of wine and an espresso martini, which Nancy made perfectly. We had dinner reservations at another place, so couldn't stay long but I believe SJs would be a wonderful place for a great lunch or dinner. if the servers are anything like the bartender, you will have an awesome experience. I decided to go to SJ's Restaurant for dinner on a whim. Glad I took a chance since the hostesses were very friendly and professional and gave me directions earlier. My table was next to a side window so I was able to people watch outside and also had a good view of the bar and the TVs playing reruns of a Pats game. SJ's has cool vibes with tasteful decor. A killer playlist of rock n roll and jazz rock music playing in the background. The food was to die for! Bread and butter tasted like heaven. Ordered a Wagyu Steak with tallow fries. The Wagyu steak cut like melted butter & the demi glaze sauce brought out the wagyu flavor. SJ's and all the restaurant staff (hostesses, Patrick my waiter, bussers, chefs, etc) all worked seamlessly as a cohesive team to provide a superb and fantastic experience for all their customers and comrades. They deserve 20+Stars! SJ's atmosphere reminds me of the Continental Hotel in the John Wick movies. If only Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane (Winston), and the John Wick doggo were present during my awesome dining experience! Pork Chop approves with 4 PAWS!
