Skydome Restaurant in Arlington offers a fine dining experience with stunning panoramic views of Washington DC. The establishment features American cuisine with a limited menu for entrees. The ambiance is lively with music playing in the background, but noise levels can be high. The interior design is outdated with decor reminiscent of the 1970s. Prices are on the higher end, but the experience and view make up for it.
The menu offers dishes such as gnocchi, pork chop, filet mignon, chicken, and wagyu beef burger. The Caesar salad dressing is a standout, as are the creamy mashed potatoes. The charcuterie board and spicy salami pizza were not as impressive. Cocktails are a must-try, especially the Incredible and Robert's Special. Soft drinks and wine are also available.
Skydome Restaurant is located within the DoubleTree Hotel in Arlington with convenient parking validation available. The restaurant rotates once every 47 minutes, providing breathtaking views of the Capitol and Washington Monument. Outdoor seating is not available, but the bar area is cozy and can accommodate mixed drinks or beer.
Overall, Skydome Restaurant is a great spot for a special occasion or a small meet-up with friends or coworkers. The service can be slow, but the attentive staff make up for it. It is not recommended for families with young children due to the lack of a kids' menu.
This was my first time on a spinning restaurant, It was a 1 of life time experience. Since the place was elegant and romantic, it was perfect for my date night. The service was great and really fast. We ordered the grilled octopus as appetizers or “tapas” thats how they call it, the flavor and the tenderness was amazing. We also ordered some cocktails which weren’t that great because of the flavor. The food on the other hand, was 10 out of 10. We order a Fillet Mignon which was melting in my mouth. The best part of the restaurant is the view; from the 15th floor Skydome spinning restaurant you are able to see a 360 view of Washington, the Pentagon and the Airport strip which has airplanes landing every few minutes. Lastly there is only 1 restroom in the penthouse, but you can go down 1 floor to the 14th, there you will find more restrooms and even more private. Please do not forget to validate your parking ticket before you leave so you don’t pay the $26 fee Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I booked a reservation here through OpenTable to celebrate a birthday with a party of 8 and we loved it! Service was prompt and courteous, everyone enjoyed the food, especially the roasted chicken and the spicy salami pizza. The views were amazing and the atmosphere and lighting were great. I would definitely go here again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Roasted, Caesar Salad
