Perfectly cooked beef rendang, stuffed squid and crabs have an appetizing taste. Taste good waffles at this cafe. A number of guests find the staff cute. The unique cuisine at Slake is exquisite. The fusion of East-west, with a touch of peranakan taste is truly an experience. The menu changes every 6 months or so. Go try for yourselves.

Both tacos and lemak boil was delivered cold. Lemak boil was completely tasteless and seafood was stale (worst than some zi char stalls). $55 for dead prawns and clams which you have to open with your fingers forcefully a clear sign that they were not even fresh.

It is very sad that we are making this review without having a chance to taste the food. We made an order at 11plus for collection at 1230pm and was accepted by the system. Soon we got a phone call to inform us that the earliest that we can collect the food is 130pm and asked if we were OK with that. We agreed because we do understand that it is the peak hour and that they are overwhelmed with orders. However, when we reached, we were told that the earliest that our food will be ready is 245pm. We are very disappointed because they could have told us over the phone earlier on that the food will only be ready at 245pm instead of 130pm. We couldn't wait and have to take the refund as we have young kids at home whom we were worried that they will be way too hungry. We dont live nearby and had specially travelled down to do a self collection. As much as we love to be understanding and we didnt kick up a big fuss on the spot because we find that it won't helped with the situation, I just hope that the boss can understand our frustration to make an empty trip down only to rush all the way home to quickly tabao food from the coffeeshop nearby. We wish you could have been more upfront and accurate with the time estimation so that we wouldn't make such a long wasted trip down.
