Review: Slicer’s Decline in Quality Slicer used to be the go-to spot for high-quality beef, whether for BBQing at home or grabbing a burger on the go. Unfortunately, things have changed. The beef no longer has the same rich flavour or tenderness it once did—it’s noticeably lower in quality, which is disappointing for a place that built its reputation on great meat. On top of that, their quality control issues persist. The lettuce is still old and wilted, making their burgers feel even more lacklustre. When the main ingredient declines and the toppings are poorly handled, the end result just isn’t worth it. Slicer had something great, but unless they turn things around, it’s hard to recommend them anymore.
