Been to Slippery Jacks a few times and after last night's outing I won't be going back unfortunately. Arrived and waited over 5 min to be seated. Once seated, waited 10 min for a food/drinks menu to arrive. We were essentially ignored, and I understand they were probably low on staff but lack of acknowledgement was disappointing. A gentleman finally looked after us and he was fantastic and apologetic on his team's behalf. Even still, wine lists had incorrect information, and wine was not presented to us before pouring. Food was eventually ordered - it was fine; not mind-blowing but not bad. There was a significant delay in entrees and mains, despite the restaurant being less than half full. Poorly run and disappointing for a restaurant that has great potential. The waiter you had on last night saved your reputation - I hope he gets paid well!
