We tried the Traditional Tibetan Tongba (hot beer) here in Small Star and must say it was authentic and delicious. Note this place is a bit shabby /local bar but it’s worth the visit to try the Tongba. The service was good and quick. The prices are quite pocket friendly and the Tongba will cost you only NPR 150. Tongba is served along with a flask of hot water. While served, suck the cloudy liquid through the straw until the earthen mug is empty. You can refill the mug with hot water from the flask. You can repeat this process several times. I tried four rounds, and must say the millet still retains its flavour. You have to wait for 3-4 minutes after you refill the earthen mug with the hot water. Alcohol content is around 2-3% as per my experience. Recommended Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
