Wasn’t planned and just happened to walk by when the line outside intrigued me. Thank god i wasn’t in a rush to go anywhere so I waited in line for a bit and it was so worth it! The french toast + house blend coffee combination was exquisite. The coffee is so smooth and the french toast just the right amount of fluffy and butter. So worth it especiallly considering its price! I bought a pack of beans to bring home with me as well! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Smart Coffee caught our attention while we were visiting Kyoto, so we decided to give it a try. While waiting in line, we started chatting with a local couple who told us this is actually a very famous coffee shop and always busy. They also mentioned that takeaway isn’t allowed, so we decided to stay and enjoy a cup inside , and it was absolutely worth it. For 650 yen, I had their signature black coffee, which was rich, smooth, and delicious. My wife ordered a latte, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying some coffee to take home with us. The service deserves five stars: very fast, efficient, and well organized, even with the long line. And as a bonus , the pudding was also really good. Highly recommended. If you plan to visit, just be prepared to wait in line and good luck! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful breakfast, my wife and I shared the French toast and pancake set. Both were very tasty, and the coffee was delicious. Service was amazing and the whole place has a feeling of time slowing down and allowing you to relax. No raised voices or fast movement, but quick service and excellent attention to detail!
