I don't leave many reviews but I felt compelled because of the level of customer service that I received from the manager, Jarod. I had dinner delivered, an item was labeled correctly but when I opened the container it was something else. I called the restaurant. He apologized, no big deal. He said he'd refund the item. The following day he calls me back to tell me he can't refund the item on his end. I need to contact the 3rd party delivery. He will make sure I get my item for free and throw in a desert upon my next delivery. I just need to contact him after placing my order, he will guarantee to put them in the bag coming to me. It's not that I'm getting something for free but that he took the time to reach out to me to make sure I got the refund I was entitled to. The rest was above and beyond my expectations. I liked the food enough that this was my second order in as many days but this propelled them to the top of my favorite restaurants in my area. I will probably order again very soon. Thanks, Jarod. Came to Smitty's Grill for the first time as a craving for chicken pot pie was in order. I yelped "chicken pot pie" and got a lot of hits for pie places among others. As I scrolled down I came onto Smitty's Grill. I checked out the pics and noticed their chicken pot pie looked massive and reviews were good. I made reservations via yelp. Arriving at Smitty's it was mid rush-hour for dinner and the main dining room was packed. Took our seats at what was a secondary, smaller dinning room good for a couple big groups and one table (my table). Was warmly greeted with water requests once seated. Anthony, our server then welcomed and introduced us to Smitty's Grill. I took from him that Smitty's was a "Comfort Food" place. I proceeded to tell him we came because of the chicken pot pie and he said it was a staple on the menu which we tried and thoroughly enjoyed w/leftovers. Also tried the crab cakes, small but almost pure crab meat with just the right ingredients binding it all together (YUMMY). Also ordered the bowl of chilli which was simply divine. To accompany the chilli I ordered their corn bread . Let me tell you, the corn bread was the star of the dinner. It is served in an individual cast iron skillet and topped with almost a coffee cake layer on top (WOW), it's served with butter and honey! On the side! I later learned the corn bread was compliments of the house it being my first time at Smitty's!!! They gained another customer as their food was delicious, the service was spot on, and the ambience was elevated casual. Will be back to try the rest of the staples and for the corn bread!!!!
