Worst food place in the world, they serve Rats and mice droppings in their food and expect you to yo pay extortionate prices, I can't even give them 1* rating is why they are probably closed down, dine elsewhere Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A smokin’ Sunday roast. Thank you Lewis from Smoke Hut for inviting me down for the most intimate Sunday Roast experience I’ve ever had. Sitting within the skeleton of what was once the Ekologi Cafe on Withcurch road, this now secret-not-so-secret location set the scene to the most remarkable Sunday lunch. With the entire venue to ourselves, sipping wine, enjoying the classical notes of Frédéric Chopin and receiving plates upon plates of roast meats and vegetables made me feel like the Lady of the manor. Lady Gwen; l could get used to that. With dramatic passion and perfect execution, Lewis, single handedly, presented an array of smoked British seasonal meats with all the trimmings. We were served succulent top rump of beef, delicious pork loin and the most tender and sweet poussin, encased in its crispy smoke kissed skin. Smoke Hut cooks smoked meat as it should be: Not slathered in sauce. Not sickeningly sweet. No need for lemon hand wipes. Just deep rich smoked perfection. It was also an honour to witness a chef with such dedication to his craft and to see someone reunited with his love of sharing food, after what has been a very abandoning two years for the food industry. The meats were accompanied with a mustard and blue cheese cauliflower bake, trio of veg: charred cauliflower florets, whole sweet baby onion, fennel seed studded carrots, crispy roast potatoes with rosemary and sea salt and a rich dark gravy nestled with juicy beef bits. ..and when we thought we had it all, Lewis surprised us with more smoked pork belly slices with salty crackling. I am thrilled to announce that The Smoke Hut will be making an appearance with a range of delicious smoked delights at our favourite community spot Neighbourhood Cardiff from 2nd Feb for 2 weeks. Thank you again Lewis, this was a meal to remember and good luck on your new smoke fuelled journey.
