A refreshingly worthwhile step back in time, like Sunday eating in your grandparent’s back yard! The small unassuming building’s walls are coated with years of smoke, local conversation, and laughter. Had the brisket, ribs and sausage plate with beans and tater salad Order at the counter and have a seat, he’ll bring it to you and you pay when done like it used to be. Ribs were big and had great flavor and were my favorite; brisket and sausage were a bit dry, but it was the end of the day, so no complaints. The home made beans and potato salad almost steal the show! Just excellent, obviously years in the perfecting. And you can’t beat sitting and listening to the local lunch crowd chatting about rain chances, hay prices, HS sports and other local (and global) stuff. Can only recommend you hurry because they will take a well-deserved retirement at some point, but then again the social aspect seems to make it not like work to them, so maybe not. If you're looking for a rustic old school cowboy smoke Shack then this is it. The ribs are on point dry rub zesty not over the greasy still falling off the bone. Even the cold slow is above par. You can tell that the couple that owns his place has been here for the last 40 years of their life.
