Teneysha, Thank you for giving SoLou a try while you were visiting Baton Rouge. Knowing you chose us because of our reviews makes me especially happy that we lived up to your expectations! It sounds like you sampled a little bit of everything, and I love that. The Crawfish Dip, Crawfish Beignets, bacon jam burger, and tabletop s'mores are all great examples of what we're trying to do—take familiar Louisiana flavors and give them a fun SoLou twist. As for the Crawfish Beignets, I had to smile at your description! "More like crawfish hush puppies" is a fair observation. They're definitely savory rather than the sweet, airy French-style beignets most people think of, but I'm glad you enjoyed them nonetheless. I'm especially thrilled to hear our burger made such an impression. Saying it's "one of the best burgers ever" is about as high a compliment as a chef can receive.
