Apparently I am in the minority, per the other reviews- but despite being a foodie and enjoying all types of cuisine- I found this place to be just trying to hard to be “out of the box”. There’s unique and then there’s just bad flavor combinations. IMO the flavor combinations were just not well done. Rather the thought was how can we make this seem more bougie - and in doing so they miss the mark. We had a group of 6, ordered 3 shareable dinner entrees, 2 sides, and 2 appetizers. Some of my group also had cocktails, which after sampling I decided against. Sides: Crispy potato salad- pickles can belong here, was not crisp, flavor profile was just ok. Brussel sprouts: has potential to be way better - just fell flat for me. Entrees: Nappa Cabbage Rolls: chicken is to be eaten in cabbage leaves but comes in basically whole pieces, slightly cut into very large chunks not appropriate for this dish. It was moist, but I didn’t taste any seasoning/marinade, the “hot mustard bbq sauce” was just like straight up mustard flavor. The toppings served together are just bizarre- again you get pickles, bean sprouts, chopped peanuts and the sauce. Flavors just didn’t go together- again potential is there- just missed the mark. Duck & Matza ball “dumplings” - this dish consists of 6 dense balls of unseasoned matza, in a duck gravy. Very small amount of shredded duck meat in the gravy. Not a fan. Pasta dish- the best part of this dish was the Romano sprinkled on top. Everything else was bland as all get out. Appetizers: Pickle plate: was told it was very spicy that day- combo Of kimchi, pickled cucumbers, mustard greens, squash and radish. I dont know what they used to pickle these things. Not good. Best one was the radish as it was closest to a true pickling. Bacon fried rice: this one was decent, but just tasted like bacon- so if you like bacon it’s a safe option. Enjoyed the bean sprouts with this. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I am so glad we decided to bring a friend out to Social Deck + Dining last night. My fiancé and I had only stopped in once prior for drinks and a snack and loved the atmosphere and the amazing staff! Coming back for dinner we experienced the same hospitality and fantastic cuisine. We started with the hummus tray (which was even better than I remembered) packed with delightfully seasoned veggies and the best naan bread (we actually ended up getting more of it!) For our entrees, I ordered the Garlic Shrimp, my fiancé got the Short Ribs and we got my 3 year old the Mac n Cheese. Love love loved both entrees but my absolute favorite was the Garlic Shrimp!! The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked. They sat atop a bowl of the most amazing brussel sprouts and mushrooms. It was so good I didn't even want to share with my fiancé (despite our previous agreement..haha!). Our little one ate his ENTIRE bowl of Mac n Cheese and loved every spoonful. Dessert was equally impressive. We got the raspberry lemon chiffon cake and the kiddo got ice cream that came with chocolate syrup, crushed Oreos and strawberries. It was the perfect ending. I think the only negative we experienced was that because the restaurant is so open it can get very loud in there. We were seated beside a table of chatty girls who were Soooo loud. They left pretty quick tho so it wasn't too bothersome. The food and service was well worth overlooking this minor issue. Can't wait to return and try some of the other entrées and possibly brunch one of these days.
