ended up being our favorite soda experience of the entire trip, and honestly, I wish we had found it sooner because we would have gone even more! It truly felt like a hidden gem and the kind of authentic local spot you hope to discover while traveling. The atmosphere felt very family-run, and everyone there was incredibly sweet and welcoming. The food was amazing — I got the tilapia casado, my boyfriend got the chicken casado, and both were so flavorful and fresh. They also had a huge variety of fresh fruit juices, and the empanadas were delicious. We even came back later in the trip just to get the arroz con leche, which was incredible. This place had such warm, genuine energy and consistently amazing food. Could not recommend it enough if you want a real authentic soda experience in La Fortuna. Soda Tita Rosa was a hit! The quesadilla carne should not be missed, and fair warning that the empanadas are HUGE! I think my American was showing when I ordered both. They also make fresh juices and I’m still thinking about the jugo de mango.
