I was convinced to choose Sea Bass. It supposedly was fresh and wonderful. Well it arrived overcooked and had the shape of a catfish filet, not a hunk of sea bass. The leek puree was cold...I sent it back. I was someone's guest but no one should pay for that. Other members had an excellent filet of beef, some mediocre chicken dish with hard mushrooms and a double boned pork chop that was ok. They gave us a free lava cake to make up for the meal. It was delicious. Don't know what was the matter in the kitchen but members of that club know good food and you cannot serve that. This place is fantastic, and off the beaten (downtown) path, which means at least during the week you can actually get a table. We had an amazing dinner tonight - the mushroom toast is killer, the french onion soup is the biggest and best I have ever had. We could have ended there and had a 5-star experience, but the entree's didn't disappoint either. I skip meat, which can be a problem at many restaurants but Solomon's has a rotating vegan entree which was amazing. The fresh pasta dish my wife had was also great. We were stuffed at this point but still managed to make some room for the creme brulee which also was done perfectly.
