I had a great stay here at Soma Homestay. The owner Soma and his family are extremely kind and accommodating to whatever you need. Breakfast in the morning is fantastic and served with tea. It is a very beautiful place with gardens and a fish pond. It is just a short walk to the beach which is great to enjoy. A very peaceful stay!

EXCEPTIONAL STAY – Highly Recommended Location We stayed one night at Soma Residence and Cabana and had a truly exceptional experience. The property offers two rooms inside the main house—this is where we stayed—and it genuinely feels like being welcomed into a family home. The hosts are incredibly kind, always available, yet never intrusive. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and come with a private bathroom and a fan. Just a few meters away, there is also a separate private cabana with air conditioning, ideal if you prefer more privacy or are particularly sensitive to the heat. That said, the fan in our room was more than sufficient for us. The dining area is set outdoors in their beautiful garden, surrounded by palm trees and fruit plants, with a refreshing sea breeze. It’s a stunning and relaxing environment. There are also monitor lizards around the garden, but they stay at a distance and are not disturbing at all—even for someone like me who doesn’t particularly like them! The beach is only a 10-minute walk away—quiet, unspoiled, and almost deserted when we visited, giving the feeling of a private beach. Turtle Point is also just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride away. Staff The entire family is incredibly welcoming and warm. They even let us taste fresh fruits from their garden, which they use to make delicious juices. They provided us with all the information we needed to reach the nearby beach and Turtle Point, where we had the unforgettable experience of seeing turtles nesting. Food The food was absolutely delicious. Two of us don’t eat spicy food, while one of us loves it, and they perfectly adjusted the spice levels for each dish so everyone was happy. They offer fresh fish bought daily from the market, as well as several vegetarian options. The menu is simple, traditional, and satisfying, with very affordable prices. Breakfast is included and features traditional items such as coconut roti, dal, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee. They are also very flexible and happy to accommodate additional requests. Value for Money For one night (one double room and one single room), including breakfast and a generous lunch for three people, we spent only €30 total An incredible value for such a wonderful experience. Overall An unforgettable stay with amazing hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and excellent food. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing experience.
