Wasn’t able to pick up my order and they still charged my card. Hope the employees ate my food while it was hot

Should’ve known better! I reluctantly visited the Sonic in Roland, and received the worst experience ever. I don’t normally even eat at Sonic, but my mother-in-law wanted me to stop and get her a corn dog and a drink. I pulled into the Sonic in Roland, because there were only 2 other vehicles there (should’ve been a sign). I ordered the Wacky Pack kids meal with corn dog, but asked if I could change the small drink that comes with the meal to a medium. The kid’s meal was $3.89, and after I completed the order, the Sonic employee said “That’ll be $6.13!” I was dumbfounded, to say the least. How could that be? Even if I had ordered the 3 items separately, it wouldn’t have been that much! I asked if they had made a mistake, and pointed out the Kid’s meal was only $3.89, so why was I being charged an extra $2? I was told that it was because I wanted the medium drink! I had already put my debit card in to pay, but after I sat there for a few minutes waiting, I began to feel extremely agitated at the fact that this was not right. I pushed the call button again, and asked them to cancel my order, and told them why. The employee said nothing, except “ok.” I asked them if they would reverse the charge on my debit card, and the manager chimes in “If you do end up getting charged, just bring me your bank statement, and we will look at it!” I was infuriated at that point. I’m NOT going to bring you my bank statement to prove you charged me! He then came out to my car, and handed me a voided receipt, and I asked him to explain to me why he feels justified in charging me an extra $2 for changing from a small to medium drink, when the menu shows it’s a difference of 20 cents. He tells me it’s because I’m going from a 10 oz. drink to a 20 oz. drink (and we all know most of that is ice) and I tell him that I understand there is going to be a difference in cost, but almost $2….. Really? He then asks “What did you expect, a free medium drink?” He tells me that it is the policy for all Sonic drive-ins, but I know that is not the case. I told him that Muldrow and Ft. Smith do not charge an extra $2 for upgrading the drink to medium, and he then tells me that “even McDonald’s charges extra for getting a bigger drink!” I left there and ended up going to the Sonic in Muldrow, and ordered the exact same thing. My total was $4.26, and my food was brought to my car in less than two minutes!
