Years down the track and I am still thinking about this restaurant!!! Went there almost every night for four weeks and ordered nothing but the miso cod and wagyu shabu shabu. Top notch. Seriously cannot get enough of it!

Cannot wait to go back. If only I can rate it 10 stars out of 5 :P

Service is impeccable and the staff are amazing. I don't think the food is incredible, but it is a cut above what I normally enjoy, of course. The lobster gratin I had was damn good.

Ordered a Tempura Set and Sushi Bento (with Chicken Teriyaki). The bowls of steamed rice came half full but I don't know if that's the intended portion or the staff didn't have the time to fill it properly. Overall, both meals were presented well. However, the quality of food was disappointing at this price range. The tempura from the Tempura Set weren't cooked well and felt sticky in the mouth. The shrimp from the cocktail salad were processed with additives. The soft shell crab was probably frozen as well but tasted alright. On the contrary, the assorted sushi were decently formed and tasted fresh and nice. The chef's special dish was a deep fried salmon topped with onions and was great. Chicken teriyaki had nice flavour and wasn't overly spiced.

Honestly, at 29 dollars for the Tempura Set and 37 for the Sushi Bento I expected better quality and better tasting food. At this price point, it boggles my mind that a restaurant would dare serve processed and frozen stuff and cheap salads. Some of the dishes had great flavours and the sushi I had were undoubtedly tasty and quite fresh, but there's no value or sense of quality. For 66 dollars, you can get similar quality and taste from other Japanese restaurants that are cheaper and less pretentious.

Stay away to average for what you pay is my rating. Maybe come for the ambience and experience but heading to a Sushi Edo or a mid-tier Japanese restaurant might be the nicer and more logical option for your taste buds and wallet.
