Sophie’s Bistro truly captures the essence of a charming French eatery. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, perfect for savoring a meal without the pressure of rushed service. It’s a place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your dining experience. On our visit, we indulged in a delightful array of dishes: the trout almandine was perfectly seasoned, the steak au poivre was perfectly cooked, and the tart aux champignons was a savory delight. The standout was a unique blue cheese “pizza” topped with pears and sunflower seeds—an exquisite combination. The bread was hot and fresh, and even if it wasn't imported, the butter was exceptional. The owner’s warmth and friendliness added to the experience. He made a point to engage with all the tables, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like regulars, despite it being our first visit. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, and we particularly enjoyed their house-made liquor, which complemented our dessert beautifully. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it feel justified rather than overpriced. Sophie’s Bistro is an ideal spot for a romantic date night, offering both great food and a lovely ambiance. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in a cozy setting. We will definitely be back.
