I was lucky enough to rent an Airbnb near this restaurant, and thanks to its Google rating, we decided to visit. It was the best restaurant we ate at in Rome. The lasagna is a 10/10: perfect, flavorful, tender, and undoubtedly the best lasagna I've ever had in my entire life. For the Carbonara, I recommend asking to substitute the pasta for spaghetti. I tried it with both spaghetti and the shorter pasta, and I absolutely loved the spaghetti version. It was the best I had in Rome. My wife had the Cacio e Pepe and said it was perfect. She said it was the best one too (and we ate at all the hyped restaurants in Rome). The service was always very good, even for me, since I don't speak English or Italian well. They really made an effort to understand me and treat us well. I feel very lucky; we ended up going there every day for one of our meals because it truly is wonderful. The best restaurant I have ever been to! It's a small, cozy restaurant with an amazing atmosphere that made the whole experience truly special. The pasta was absolutely incredible – without a doubt the best pasta I have ever had in my life. Nothing else has even come close. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left. If you're visiting Rome and wondering where to eat, I highly recommend Anastasio.
