Sorrento is one of the best Italian restaurants in Houston, and for good reason. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a live pianist playing romantic songs in the background. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply delicious. The bread basket is a must-try, with a variety of fresh baked breads and roasted garlic to spread on them. Their signature dishes, such as the Veal Osso Buco and Scallops with Lemon Risotto, are definitely worth trying. Desserts are also a highlight, with their Chocolate Souffle and Apple Tart being two favorites. Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a delicious meal with friends, Sorrento is the perfect spot.

This was our first time at Sorrento, we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was awesome. The restaurant is larger than you would expect just from looking at it from the front. It seems like parking can be a challenge, but they have a valet service and it worked out fine. The entrance is very nice, you walk into the bar area in case you want to get a cocktail before sitting down for dinner. The dinner area was very inviting, I liked the art work on the walls. The environment was good. We started with some appetizers, bruschetta and fried calamari - the waiter presented an amazing assortment of breads to try. My favorite was the focaccia and the fennel bread. They both paired well with the oil & garlic provide on the table. For my first plate I had the Caccio and Pepper pasta, it was delicious. It was a good size portion. The lasagna and veal were good. My main course was the seared Tuna, there were many interesting specials our waiter told us about, but I had my mind on Tuna. We had a little room left for desert, so we tried the Tiramisu and the Cheesecake - both were spectacular !! We really enjoyed ourselves at Sorrento’s and we will be back.
