If you LOVE Hip-Hop, fitness and dancing you will LOVE Soul Fit. I am middle aged and have such a great work out each time. I have been going to classes intermittently for around 3 years. If you don't listen to any Hip-Hop or you are sensitive to language that is typically in Hip-Hop (yes, please for me!) , no worries! They have several other classes with different music that are just as enjoyable. I have tried them over the years too but Hip-Hop is my favorite. I read a review about someone saying they can't get the moves down. If you pay attention it's all even counts. Just do the counts in your head and after a few classes you will get it although I miss the counts sometimes, it's really not a big deal. Victoria is very nice. They give you a complimentary herbal tea each class to have before or after class. It's a 2$ upgrade for a larger cup or shake which is a great deal! Go and check them out!

I’ve been going to Soulfit for years and I absolutely love it! The hip hop class is my favorite, but the other classes are just as intense. They offer drinks before or after class and they stay open certain mornings to provide teas and shakes as well. I like how you really can make the workout and easy or as hard as you want it based on how hard you go with the dancing. The instructors are friendly and they provide modifications if you need them.

I have tried the Hip Hop class off and on for the last few months. I enjoy the music and choreography but often felt that I spent more time on trying to get the counts right for the moves vs enjoying myself and getting a great work out. I considered it to be a high intensity (if you go all out) cardio work out. The instructors do not give you any count as to what is next...i.e. 10 jacks, 8 X, or simple 1, 2, 3, 4.... You are left to figure it out on your own and just end up beating the ball to feel like you are keeping up. I understand they have some vets in the class but for us newbies it will take us a min to get the moves down. I did go to 1 class that was taught by a dark haired woman with glasses that did give counts which was the exception. My other gripe is that some of the coaches do not speak to you or give any eye contact. They chat with each other before class , tell you how to hold the sticks and start class. No pep talk telling you to have fun, show modifications, etc. One was sitting up against the wall on her phone before class started and looked up at the ceiling the whole time during class. She did not come across as friendly. I have been to other group classes and just didn't feel as welcomed or the team comrade that you get from group classes. The complimentary tea is nice that they give you. It's a small space and can get stuffy quick if you are not near a fan blowing. With all this being said for the price and drop in option if you love Hip Hop , working out and dancing I do recommend you try it for yourself and hopefully have a better experience.

Hello Helen I am so sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience… what class did you last come to ? We actually don’t have any coaches with dark hair and glasses either However I would love to welcome you back for a free class to try and fix this, I’ve always felt we are a very welcoming community and I try my best to speak to everyone individually I’m sorry you didn’t feel that
