The chef/ cooks of the restaurant are despicable. It is supposed to be a South Indian Cusine restaurant and they donot know how to cook. This is not the first time when i ordered and found the food distasteful and non-edible ( as per the trational taste of south Indian cusine).
The Sambar on all occassions was Saltless, not having any daal in it not cooked with Tangy Tamarind - not tasteful. The Potato masal filling also lacked salt and the required spices and looked like not fresh. The Dips of Coconut chutney was also bland with no taste except for a watery mixture of ground Coconut.
The staff even though pleasent speaking dud not know the basics of customer service. She would call the manager on the phone nor give the name & contact of the owner. The owner has not been in the facility to run his/her business, so who knows how the quality of the food is managed.
No one returned my call or attented to the complaint.
I will never again pick food from Southern Spice. If you are in Abbotsford, BC my recommendations are not to even try this place.
If it was only once, I would have let it pass but it has been so for four consecutive times.
ABSOLUTELY NO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU WANT TO EAT AUTHENTIC SOUTH INDIAN FOOD
