This cafe is such a gem. Great coffee, great food, reasonable prices. The hours are convenient for early risers and late afternoon coffee fiends alike. Everyone who works here is incredibly warm and friendly, especially the owner (who must never forget a face, because whenever I pop in he's like, "welcome back!" even though I'm not a regular). The kids play area is a godsend. I'm amazed more places don't feature a play area like this, as it's a huge draw for parents. There is separation between the adult and kid space, making this a welcome spot for anyone to enjoy a beverage and a snack. Please support this lovely local business! A gem of the community. Here you’ll feel like family. The Turkish pastry and other in-house-made baked goods are a unique treat, as is the hummus plate and various salads/side dishes. Coffee is roasted on-site and is labeled as Turkish, Anatolian, or Italian — an indicator of roast but not of bean origin. There’s a kid’s play room in the back half of the shop, with seating for parents and play equipment for the kids. The main seating room is open with tables and some armchairs by a fireplace. Very cozy. But the best thing about Sovereign Grounds is the welcoming atmosphere cultivated by the owner. Say hi and introduce yourself. You’ll be welcome. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
