Food was ok. However, several menu items were missing and servers were not helpful. At the end of the meal we were surprised that they only took cash Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Some. But menu doesn't explain if a dish is vegetarian or not

We asked for a pizza siciliana that comes with eggplant. The eggplant was raw. Straight cut and put on top of the pizza raw. After politely asking the waitress about it the reply was “it’s cooked at an over at 800 degrees”. To which we said, but it’s still raw. It depends how long it stay in the oven. Several attempts to make is keep the pizza. Finally the pizza was taken away and we chose a different one. When we get the bill, we are charged for the pizza that was sent back. We made no discussion. Not worth the hassle and overpaid for it. Then we asked to pay with card. Reply “better wish cash”. I had inside to pay and everybody is paying with card. I pull the card out and now I’m questioned again about cash. Business must be hard. Every penny counts in here. 2 stars. The food is OK. Not coming here again. Too many restaurant options around the corner to bother with it. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

At the end of a beautiful day of vacation, we wanted to eat something delicious in the old town of Bolzano. Unlike usual, we didn't look for reviews beforehand, but spontaneously decided on the "Speckstube". A mistake. Although our experience wasn't as disastrous as some others describe it, we can't recommend the restaurant either. We had the cream of asparagus soup beforehand: a terribly thick soup mixed with a lot of flour and ready-made broth, I have to say it, mush. Afterwards my wife had a pizza with tuna and olives, which was large and ok, but I can get it everywhere - and better. I had the veal Wienerschnitzel and it was good. Two thin, well-breaded schnitzels, French fries, there was little to complain about. Drinks were expensive, but that was just about offset by the rather cheap prices of the food. Salad was asked for, but we didn't take any and avoided this trap. "Pane e coperto" consisted of two old rolls, was on the menu at 2.00 and was collected at 2.50. Our request to pay by card was dismissed as “better in cash”. You just have the feeling that you are not being taken seriously as a guest, but are just being left out. The still average food can't hide that. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
