Spica is a quaint café nestled in the Ifukucho area of Okayama at 2 Chome. Known for its simple, pleasant ambiance and inviting menu, Spica draws locals and visitors alike for its enticing offerings. Among its popular items are delicious pastries like lemon pie and freshly made sandwiches, both recommended by past customers. While the refrigerated section may have limited availability of some options, patrons seem satisfied with alternatives like open-faced sandwiches.
The café operates from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, yet prospective visitors should note that recent visitor feedback or updates from the owner are unavailable. Testimonies reveal positive impressions of the café's baked items, highlighting both flavor and texture. Unfortunately, despite its charm, Spica presents accessibility challenges, as it lacks a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance.
Spica caters to those seeking a quick visit, offering takeaway service with an emphasis on coffee as a primary beverage. Despite not providing delivery services, the café accepts Rakuten Pay, adding a level of convenience for guests. With a moderate price level, Spica is an option worth considering for those exploring this part of Okayama.

I visited right after it opened. The refrigerated section still only had tortillas lined up, so I couldn't buy the fruit sandwich I was looking for. I bought a lemon pie and an open-faced sandwich instead, and the lemon pie was really delicious. The lemon-flavored meringue, the simple sweetness of the custard cream, and the crispy pie went well together, and I thought I'd like to eat it chilled next time.

SPICA is actually a system for providing disadvantaged people with work while at the same time being a bakery amd cafe. My review considers SPICA as a cafe.SPICA is open from 11:30 to 5:30 Mondays to Fridays. It offers around 20 varieties of single serving breads and sandwiches. There is an attached dining room where you can have a sit down lunch with soup and a beverage. The quality is good; the fried keema curry breads are delicious. Products are replenished regularly. The price is very good in terms of quality and price point. Staff are friendly and speak some English.
