Hidden gem for Muslims who don’t want to pay the extortionate prices of Gyumon. We got the cream mushroom omelette rice and it was 11/10, paid ¥1600 for it, worth it vs standard tourist traps of ¥3000+ per dish elsewhere. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was looking for a place to eat in Nara at around 13:00. The area was packed and most restaurants were full. Was able to find a seat at Spice Kitchen Labo and was glad I found them! It's a narrow place with a few tables. I was quickley given a spot in the back. Each table had an assorent of water, untensils, napkins, and moist towelettes for your convenience. The wait staff spoke some English if you need help, and the food came quick and hot. I got the combination omurice which was lovely. Definitely prefered the cream sauce with mushrooms personally. It felt to me to be one of the better bargins in the comex when compared to the costs of other restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a satisfying quick lunch/dinner.
