Situated in the heart of Knaresborough is this stylish Indian restaurant. The menu is largely typical but sufficiently varied to make it attractive. We had the Thursday menu which was reduced in price but with enough options to make it first choice the fish pakora was freshly deep fried on the outside and succulent inside. My wife enjoyed the mixed lamb kebab. for the main my king prawn dopiaza was tasty but slightly too many onions and needed more spice. My wife's garlic spicy chicken was exactly as it said. This was excellent value (cash only on the Thursday menu) and the staff always smiling and attentive. The place was busy but the food never late in cooking. For Indian food my Indian wife gave it the thumbs up. A large group of us (22) ate at Lawai Spice last night and I must say it was very impressive. The food was excellent and despite the fact that majority of us chose something different from the menu it all came out in quick succession, was hot and all of us were in agreement, it was delicious the best curry many of us had had an Knaresborough for some time.m! The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend. Thank you Lawai Spice. We’ll be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
