Best chicken lo mein in the city! Their food is so delicious and always fresh. Usually Chinese food makes me feel super bloated theirs doesnt. I’m so glad this place exists. My favorite! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was horrible. Got the spicy crispy chicken and it tasted inedible. Sauce for the dumplings tasted expired. Won’t be trying again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $60–70

Spices 39 is hits the spot for Szechuan style Chinese food without having to go all the way to Bellaire and can hold it's own against the best out there. For the heights, the prices are reasonable and the service is good. They get a lot of take out orders, which I have ordered as well. but I highly recommend that you also try dining in as it is all freshly cooked and definitely tastes better when it's hot off the wok.
