The price-performance ratio here is the reason for the poor review. If you come here you can expect to pay top dollar for very mediocre food. We ordered ham and cheese croissants and asked if they could be toasted. We were there after the kitchen had closed, which was certainly our own fault, but we were charged full price for a croissant that was stale. We asked if it could be toasted but were offered that it could be microwaved instead. Not really a problem, but it certainly didn’t feel like we had many options to better the taste of our old croissant. The upside of our visit, and the reason that there is more than one star, is definitely the pie. The pie was great and was clearly home made. If you are going to stop by then definitely for a pie! Bad food at overpriced prices with one small bright spot I understand that there is no competition in terms of dining in this area and that people are forced to stumble into this venue due to a lack of alternatives. I also get that it doesn’t take good cuisine to fill the dining room. However, there should still be at least a little self-respect for gastronomy and hospitality. The ham and cheese croissant was dry and musty from sitting in the refrigerated display case for too long. Toasting wasn’t an option because of the late afternoon hour, and the microwave was all they could offer. Charging $14 for that is bordering on an insult. Only the meat pie was warm and tasted okay. Would only recommend this restaurant in an absolute emergency and if you are starving! Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

We stopped in here for lunch on Sunday. Perfect spot for a cold beer after visiting Purlingbrook Falls. The kids enjoyed the icecreams on the verandah and a play on the grass. Highly recommend Springbrook Café & Bar :)
