The atmosphere is generally comfortable and staff was polite. My biggest frustration was feeling like the chili baked potato quality didn’t reflect the price I paid. I anticipated something like splitting the potato and mashing it with seasonings then topping it so the food is thoroughly seasoned. The potato was plainly split and topped. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it felt like a bit of a bummer cuz most of the potato was plain after getting through the toppings. We did wait a decent amount of time but I’m pretty sure that’s from being baked to order; I didn’t ask at the time so I am unsure. The potato did still have a little starchiness in the center. Overall, I really like the concept and the menu- I hope to come back and see improvements on how they deliver on their items. Dietary restrictions: You can ask for toppings to be omitted.

Stopped by Spud Happens and really enjoyed it! The restaurant has a fun, quirky atmosphere with potato-themed decor that makes it stand out. We tried the chicken strips and fries, chili cheese fries, and the Classic Baker. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy, the fries were well seasoned, and the chili cheese fries were loaded with toppings. The Classic Baker was huge and piled high with cheese, green onions, and sour cream. Great comfort food, generous portions, and friendly service. Definitely a spot we’ll be visiting again! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lexi, this review is loaded almost as much as our potatoes! Thank you for the kind words. We're so happy you enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service. Our team works hard to keep the potatoes hot, the portions generous, and the vibes fun. We can't wait to see you again when you're ready for your next Spud Happens fix!

This is an excellent addition to Apache Junction. I had the Wild West baker that has a baked potato with chicken and cheese on top with ranch and BBQ sauce and I greatly enjoyed it. I will definitely be coming back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
