Couldn't fault anything at this restaurant. Fantastic service, food is outstanding. Attended after footy match at MCG which is in walking distance and even though they were extremely busy we were seated promptly and all food arrived in timely order. Great work, will be back. Not my first time at Square & Compass cafe in East Melbourne, but each time I am left thoroughly impressed and satisfied. The cafe is locally owned and operated, which is always a plus in my book. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. One of the standout features of this cafe is the coffee - they serve Vacation Coffee, which is a local roaster and it was delicious to say the least. The flat white was bang-on, resulting in a smooth and flavourful cup of coffee. But the coffee isn't the only thing that impresses me - the food is also top-notch. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch options, all made with high-quality ingredients. The menu doesn't get rotate too often, aside from seasonal add ons, and few changes here and there. In addition to the food and coffee, the cafe has a great atmosphere. It's a cozy and intimate space, with a rustic and charming decor. It's the perfect spot for a casual brunch with friends or a solo coffee break. Overall, I highly recommend Square & Compass cafe in East Melbourne.
