I’ve been to Squisito twice now and honestly it’s already one of my favorite sandwich spots in Beirut. The sandwiches are excellent every single time; fresh, perfectly made, and packed with high quality ingredients. They bake their own focaccia and bread which makes a HUGE difference; always crunchy and light. The perfect sandwich container for any sandwich that is not a shawarma! Today I ordered the turkey sandwich (turkey, buffalo mozzarella, tomato — so good), and I casually mentioned it would be even better with basil and the manager went inside and came back out with a little bowl of fresh basil leaves for me. That kind of attention to detail is rare, and it made my whole day. Also: the chef is clearly a sandwich wizard, and the manager is extremely cute. Just saying. If you’re in Gemmayzeh and want a proper Italian bellissimo sandwich moment, go. You’ll thank me. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The best authentic Italian sandwich in town! The scacciata bread is perfectly crispy outside and soft inside, with amazing fermentation. Top-quality cheese and charcuterie selection.
