Stable Palms Club offers you nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around Kensington. Tasty gnocchi, duck and chicken are the best dishes. Try good fruitcake. Enjoy great bread drink.

Stable Palms Club is a gorgeous restaurant and its vibes are immaculate. The pizzettas and pastas are good, but some appetizers we ordered were a bit too ambitious with their vision - sounded good on paper, but the flavours didn't really work for us. Biggest let down was the service. No host/hostess to greet us upon entry and having to awkwardly daddle in to search for staff. Then in our dinner service our waitress completely forgot our orders, cutlery, etc. We were served by a handful of staff, and most of them were excellent, but we were unlucky with ours I suppose. It has a lot of potential but unfortunately fell short of expectations for something of this calibre. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

We walked in for a table for 2 at 6pm on a Thursday. While the tables were booked up, we were offered a spot at the bar or on the outdoor patio. The outdoor patio is absolutely gorgeous, but the most poorly designed patio in Calgary without any sufficient shade structure. It’s actually ridiculous which is why I gave it only 4 stars for atmosphere. We were literally melting and had to move in to the bar. The staff were amazing, completely agreed and happily moved us, sweating bullets, into the bar. At the bar, we were greeted by the most lovely bartender and waitress! She made us some custom cocktails, not on the menu when we told her what we liked, and the few that we did order off the menu you were delicious. We ordered the dill chicken appetizer, oysters, mackerel, and the gnocchi. All of the food was delicious, but I found the dill chicken the least interesting. The mackerel was delicious with an amazing sauce and delicious capers. The gnocchi tasted like mac & cheese for adults. Overall fantastic experience and I’m excited to go back with a table reservation to try more items off the menu. Just a note…communal washrooms are the absolute worst. I appreciate that may be the most efficient use of space for the restaurant owner but for women it’s absolutely disgusting to share a public washroom with men + no privacy to check the mirror or fix make up. The washroom I used was out of toilet paper with no staff attentive to topping it up. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
