Stamatis is pretty near The Papadiamandis House. Enjoy nicely cooked sardine, grilled squid and steaks this restaurant offers. If hungry, come here for tasty che. Order good house wine or delicious white wine. Get your meal started with great coffee.

Restaurant on the sea...I read very negative comments...instead I tell you that I ate well and paid less than I should have...kind waiters, very nice place...recommended Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were in Skiathos for two weeks and decided to eat out a couple of nights in Skiathos town.Having walked around a bit, we decided on Taverna Stamatis. It looks very similar to all the other places and has a good outlook over the old port area.We went on a very hot and still night so were quite uncomfortable initially. There are fans in the seating area which did a decent job of making us more comfortable.Ordered our drinks, I had a Mythos but others in our group of seven had wine, the carafes were enormous so make sure you’re thirsty!I ordered a steak which looked really nice when it arrived but I made the mistake of forgetting the pepper sauce! I asked the waiter and they knocked a bit of fresh stuff up really quickly and it just made the meal spot on.The sauce was so nice I asked for an extra bowl of chips to finish it off but all of a sudden I seemed to be surrounded by octopi wanting some of my sauce and chips!Everyone said their meal was perfect and the bill for seven of us was VERY reasonable at under 150 euros.Would definitely visit again.
