This bar offers good beer among its drinks. The patient staff welcomes visitors all year round. Unprofessional service is something that guests would like to improve here. As users indicate, high prices might disappoint you a little. Facebook users visited Standard and rated it below average.

I was barely even walking up to the bouncers ready to show my ID and everything and they denied me and said I was intoxicated and couldn’t let me in like wtf?!! There was some girls in front of me that clearly were intoxicated but denied me?! Everyone had vouched for me and everything, it was a really messed up way. If I was do you think I’d be able to write this review??!! ???? I even looked over my grammar cause I can’t stand spelling mistakes!!

Go here if you want to get assaulted by their giant sexist bouncers. My friend, a female, was shoved to the ground by a bouncer & her nails literally ripped off of her skin. Then the bouncer proceeded to scream “I don’t give a f*ck” repeatedly in my face without his mask on and spitting in my face. I am completely appalled and have photos and videos. Also the gentleman at the bar was apparently the “owner”, when I approached him he was all smiles & very flirty. Until he found out I was not there to entertain him. He couldn’t care less about the disgusting behavior of his employee. Come on Standard, have some respect for your fellow human & the decency to own up to the fact that your employee was completely out of line and violent. We have pressed charges with Houston PD and will share all photos and videos of this incident with them.

We had been sitting at a table for hours when this white security Steve guy forced us saying that the table was reserved, he harassed us. I will file a police report against him.
