Drove by this place a few days ago on my way out of Lewis Center and thought it might be a good place to check out with my partner, so we came back a couple days later to see what it was all about. We were on our way to a hike, so we stopped in for her to get a coffee and for me to try out a flight of their beer selections. As soon as we got there, it was obvious right away that the place was choked with children. Not what I was expecting at a brewery . . . but I figured we must have come during a special outdoor event or something being held separate from the adult stuff. Nope. Children everywhere. I don't think it'd be exaggerating to say that kids almost outnumbered the adults. And by kids, I mean ranging in age from 10YO to newborn. There was one guy there with a baby in a Baby Bjorn front sling that looked like it was born two days ago. Wild. After we got our beverages, we thought we'd go out on the patio to enjoy them - but the only space that WOULD have been available for us was a large seating area (which could have easily sat at least nine adults and meant for paying customers I assume) occupied by a solitary child sitting in the main seat watching a tablet. Not a parent around anywhere. We moved to a much smaller available table that was semi-inside positioned right in front of a ping pong table where kids were trying to play, but kept hitting balls off the table that rolled under ours - so of course they'd run over to our table and without saying a word started crawling around under our table to fetch their ball. Over and over again this happened with no parental intervention. I thought we were coming into an adult venue, but this place looks and runs like a daycare (check out the wallpaper, the "bucket o' toys" and the sign saying there's literally coloring pages available). There's no discernable or enforced division between adult-only and child areas. The parents are obviously there only to drink and socialize with other adults, so expect a LOT of unsupervised kids to be running wild. It's also immensely concerning knowing how inappropriate some adults behavior can become when they are intoxicated and being in the vicinity of or in close proximity to minors. Feels like a completely avoidable serious issue waiting to happen. The best way to explain was that it felt like the public pool patio area of a family cruise in the middle of summer. I personally think it's gross watching adults get publicly day drunk with their children running around unsupervised, so this is certainly not the place for me. Will not be back.
