I regret to share a rather disappointing experience at one of Staniforths bakery stores. While I have consistently enjoyed their delightful food and service in other locations, my recent visit to the Rawmarsh store, adjacent to the little Tesco and Herions, was far from satisfactory. The staff's demeanor lacked the expected warmth and courtesy, resembling a rather somber atmosphere. In particular, one staff member, whose name I did not manage to ascertain but had dark hair, exhibited abrupt and dismissive behavior, hastily packing my order without any regard for proper handling. This prompted me to reconsider my purchase due to the unsatisfactory encounter. Attempting to address the situation, I encountered another staff member who identified herself as Cheryl, possibly a manager. To my dismay, she also displayed a similar discourteous and unaccommodating attitude. When I requested their names to file a complaint, they both became defensive, fostering an uncomfortable environment that left me feeling disheartened. As someone who has frequented Staniforths for many years and is nearly 66 years old, I have rarely experienced such discomfort in a retail setting. The incident was further distressing for my wife, who accompanied me during the visit and felt compelled to leave due to the distressing situation. While I still hold the utmost regard for Staniforths as a brand, I strongly advise avoiding this particular store if you seek pleasant and respectful service. I trust that this feedback will be valuable for the establishment to improve their customer experience in the future. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The best Staniforths in Rawmarsh. I love their Sausage rolls which is taste amazing. Breadcakes are excellent and their Sandwiches. Always great staff every time I visit. One of the Best Staniforths i've use for a long time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I understand you had to (because of the cost) find an alternative to fresh cream. I bought a Manchester Tart from the Parkgate shop and all I can say is the 'cream' was so old on it it came off in clumps. I have had one since you started using the alternative and the topping was fine. I was under the impression I was buying a freshly made tart not one that was at least 2 days old (more if you include the weekend) I won't be buying anything using the alternative 'cream' topping again.
