I have been a loyal daily customer at this Starbucks for years and have generally always had positive experiences, which is why I felt this situation was worth bringing to management’s attention. This morning around 5:30 AM, I went through the drive-thru and placed an order totaling nearly $30. I accidentally only had a $50 bill with me. The employee, Makayla, told me she could not break the bill. I was surprised and asked, “Are you kidding me? You don’t have a $20 for change?” After that, her attitude became extremely rude and unprofessional. She gave me a dirty look, handled the interaction harshly, and rolled her eyes even after I still tipped her $5. The entire exchange felt unnecessarily hostile and immature. I understand early mornings can be stressful, and I normally would not complain, but this interaction was unpleasant enough that I felt management should be aware of it. I have never had this kind of experience at this location before, and it was disappointing, especially as a long-time regular customer. I hope this can simply be addressed internally so future customers are treated with more professionalism and courtesy. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
