I actually walked in before they opened and Manager was lovely enough to serve me as I was in a rush to do the Fun Run. I believe it was the manger. Coffee was great and she was lovely. Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10

I had such a lovely experience at Starbucks! Sophie was absolutely amazing and provided such wonderful service. She was so kind, friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. She made me feel really welcomed and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Staff like Sophie really make a difference — she deserves a big recognition for her amazing customer service! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I often go to Starbucks Rotorua and I’ve always had good experiences with the staff, and never had a problem ordering an Iced matcha latte before. However, today’s visit was disappointing with a staff member a lady with short hair, whose name I didn’t catch as I had only seen her there today. I clearly ordered an iced matcha latte, but I was still asked if I wanted it cold or hot, and if I wanted it “blended ice or with ice cubes ,” which was confusing to customers as an iced latte is a cold, non-blended drink. I answered the questions, but the confusion led to me receiving a matcha frappé instead of iced matcha latte, When I pointed it out, I was told, “but I asked you if you want blended ice,” which added to the confusion. So they just made a new one. I don’t think it was necessary to ask if I wanted it blended ice as I had ordered a matcha latte not frappe. It felt like unnecessary questions caused a simple order to be misunderstood by customers. Also, I was charged the frappé price instead of the matcha latte price, which was about $2 more. Price per person: $10–20
