Unfortunately around 2:50 ish at Starfish Restaurant I experienced blatant racism for the first time at a restaurant. My Asian server was extremely attentive until the white customers showed up-by the way I was the first person to enter the restaurant as they were reopening after their break. There were two white women at one table and a white man and woman at other table. Not only they were served their appetizers before I got mine they even got there entre before my order was even taken. To be fair I wanted sushi so I had to wait until chefs were ready at 3:00-nevertheless I ordered an appetizer and was given a complementary soup I'm assuming because server had taken so long to take my order-not sure because there were no explanations or apologies. Server came over without note pad and asked what I wanted, I ordered she says okay and walks away. About 15 minutes later I see her look at me like like a deer caught in headlight. I knew she'd forgotten all about me. To add insult to injury she's proceeds to take my order note pad in hand this time. I said ohhh nooo you forgot about me as soon as you started waiting on these other people I don't want anything and asked for manager. She told me I never ordered and a few other lies and I looked her in the face and said you know you didn't do right by my and you're not even trying to fix it by bringing me a check for the appetizer?? Manager walks over and tells me it isn't her fault because she's working by herself. I said she has 3 tables well 2 because she only served my appetize. At this point I am furious! I told them that I am a human being and I should be treated like everyone else in here. You have the audacity to expect money from me? He then offered me a free meal next time-I said I would never eat at this place and left feeling so bad sad angry and WOKE! Sir I swear on everything that I love...every word that I wrote is 100% true and you and your server know this. A sincere apology instead of lying would have made all the difference in the world. Yesterday's experience was a very painful I opener...in fact I thank you two for confirming that racism is alive and well. No need to reply unless you plan to take accountability and extend a sincere apology to me. I will not entertain your lies for another second-by the way I forgive you and the server. Good afternoon Felicia, I'm truly sorry for your experience yesterday, however, your review has some misleading and one-sided story. When I arrive to the store at 3:20pm I saw 3 tables with customers, I didn't see it as 1 Black table and 2 White tables. And I don't understand how you assumed their races as White neither. As I arrived, I saw lot of confusion in the server as she is still under the training, and I was correcting her mistakes one by one. And I started to ask her if she was missing anything, she was confused with the order. I accessed the orders for the customers on the system, and I looked at your order and tempura lunch was served, and then I was walking around with water. I asked "was everything ok' and you said everything was fine while on the phone. So I thought you want to have your time there, as we have lot of customers like to do that, I trained the servers to give the customers to have their time unless we have ongoing reservation. After minutes passed, the server walked to the individual tables to check upon them. And then, I heard you wanted to talk to the manager. First word that I heard when I got to the table was that you are a human being. and I asked what is going on, and you kept repeating that you are a human being and you were mistreated by the skin color. I was baffled for the moment, I saw that our server made a mistake not came to you but I don't understand why the race comes into the story, and I don't see why you specified the server as an Asian neither. Even after I checked up on you 10 mins prior, you were kept saying you shouldn't be treated this way and I tried to explained that she made the mistake and I would like to serve the lunch for free,but you were kept repeating the samething that you don't want to hear our explanation and just walked out.

We do get reviews about negative and postive, and I sincerely apologize for the mistakes we made and own up to our mistakes, but you are review is just filled with colors, as the manager and as a USMC veteran, I served with the most diversified population in the military for over 10 years. And one of my best buddy in my life is happens to be African American that I met in the bootcamp back in 2012. I personally sponsored the Halloween gifts for refugee children from Africa since 2019, and two days ago I risked my life to stop in the middle of the highway to cover the deceased motorcycle victim as his bare body was exposed in the cold weather, that poor gentleman was also African American.
Do you really think we will serve the customers by the race?

I am an Asian which belongs to the minority group, I still don't have any right to discriminate other race.

We serve all customers equally regardless of race, sex and age.
