Also Brazil national football Team occasionally loses a match or two, but one needs looking at the whole picture rather the single occasion. Of course we wish we could make happy the 100% of our customers 100% of the times, but we are not floating in mid-air just yet. In your case we've got it wrong and we raise our hands: apologies. We pride ourselves in our fish and chips and to hear that our star dish was a let down does not sit down well with us at all. Thanks to your comment though, we now know precisely what went wrong so we thank you because we'll avoid making the same mistake again in the future. My only regret is that I'd really love to make you try what our fish and chips is normally like, but I guess you are based a little too far for that. Thank you again and Best Regards. AndreaMore

Dear Sharon, your comments are completely unfair and you have to realise that they nevertheless affect our efforts to always do the best job we can. You have turned up at the door on a fully booked Saturday night, asking for a table for 2. You were told that we were fully booked but we could accommodate you if you agreed to vacate the table within a certain time, when we had to make it available for someone who took the trouble to book it. You agreed to these conditions, yet you decide to go away and leave a poor review. Thanks to people like yourself, I will think twice next time before agreeing to accommodate someone with no booking on a busy evening. Regards, The Brusque Manager P.S. Following the edit of the first review: this is just to make the point that there is no dress code whatsoever for the restaurant. Furthermore, playing the racist card just doesn't hold water: I am a foreigner myself, had my fair deal of hardship because of it and wouldn't dream of passing it on. We would simply not dare to give a table with less than 2-hours dining time without making it very clear first: it is our policy and we live by it. The fact that there was yet no one waiting means nothing: we know our reservation book, we know when our bookings are about to arrive and we make sure we have the table ready for them. I am sure Ms Sharon, if you booked too, you would have appreciated that we did.
