Love the atmosphere and the windows overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, that was the only good part of our experience. We made plans to have our anniversary dinner here and left very disappointed. We waited over an hour for our food. When it finally arrived, my husband raised a concern with the person who brought it out (who I believe was a manager) because it wasn’t what he had ordered. He ordered the 8 oz filet but received the filet kabobs instead. When he tried to explain this, the response was simply, “No, it’s correct,” and they walked away while he was still speaking. The kabobs were somehow burnt on the outside while still undercooked, and my halibut was extremely salty. The only thing we really enjoyed was the limoncello spritz. I spoke with another manager, Florence, afterward. She was very apologetic, listened to our concerns, and kindly offered us a complimentary dinner in the future. We appreciated the gesture, but after this experience, we’ve decided we won’t be returning. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because Florence handled the situation well and the drinks were good. We had dinner here yesterday, and it was honestly the most disappointing restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. The service was slow even at 5:30 PM, but at least friendly. The huge disappointment was the food. I never knew you could have bad burrata - but the burrata salad was so plain and the cheese itself tasted almost fake and waxy. The dressing was basic and just didn’t taste good. We had the roasted chicken and the beef kebabs for entrée, and both were overly salted, the beef was tough and had bad flavor and was mostly gristle, the chicken was dry and also poorly seasoned. The wild rice that the kebab came over was crunchy and stale, like it’d been sitting out since the night before. We didn’t finish our plates even though we were all hungry. We were left with a high bill and not satisfied in the least. The menu all sounded so appealing, but the actual food was honestly quite dismal. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $60–70

Very impressed by my experience at The Statehouse! Chris was a fantastic waiter - he picked up my table and was super friendly and accommodating! I was dining alone and enjoyed engaging in conversation with him. My meal was delicious and the setting is lovely. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
