Me and my partner came last night. The service was amazing and quick especially for 8pm on a Friday night. The steak and frites was one of the best I’ve had after having steak and frites in a few different countries now. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £30–40

Currently on annual leave atm and me and my partner have travelled the world enjoying many flavoursome meals all over. After seeing the hype and reviews of Steak Frites Cafe we thought this was too good to be true. With vlogs of promises of full steaks/ wholesome meals and no need to eat all your chips to be replenished this is NOT the case at all. Now wether or not you get this A* treatment as a vlogger for views and likes or even custom we feel this is misleading alongside the advertising photographs. Upon entry we were greeted by someone who asked of we were there for steak and asked if we wanted to sit upstairs or down was very pleasant so off to a good start. We ordered some drinks £13 for 2 pints! With the employer bringing the drknks and pointing a card reader at us no price or pleasantries. We waited awhile until someone came to take our order. First question how would you like your steak second what sauce. We were also advised at this point that the plate must be completely clear before re ordering. The first plates arrived and although the steak was nice there was 5 strips of steak on each plate accompanied by a mountain of chips that even a sharing platter would struggle to eat and finish together. I struggled to force these chips down that were swimming in oil/butter in order to just get another steak/ part of one. We opted for the peppercorn sauce second round and when they came out again minimal strips of steak and another heap of chips. They also brought one out with the wrong sauce, they did however offer to swap this but we were so hungry we took it. I couldn't finished the second lot of fries so no more steak for me. Despite the reviews and vlogs stating you could just have steak. Feeling very mislead by all of this and I do not feel this is value your for money at £20pp We have left and are now spending more money on a substantial meal. Had such high hopes for this place after there blazing start but after only 3 weeks of opening we won't be returning to you For some reason there isn't an option to post my photos. Don't usually like leaving these types of reviews. But let this place feeling extremely disappointed and underwhelmed. Order type: Dine in Price per person: £20–30
