Got here at 7:20, they close at 8. We were the only table in the restaurant that hadn’t ordered our food. There were only two other tables in the restaurant. We didn’t get our greasy, lukewarm food until 8:15. We never got our salads. We watched who we realized was the cook pace back and forth on the phone for almost 20 minutes, which is what made us pay attention to why our food was taking so long. This was our first and last time here. The “Manager” made excuses for absolutely everything. When we mentioned the cook being on the phone for so long, her response was, “yeah as he was waiting on your sirloins to cook.” Seriously?! She took off $25 but unfortunately, she lost customers because of not only the poor food, but because of the way she handled it. Completely disappointed. The sirloin chopped steak was way overcooked and dry. The chicken fried steak and fried zucchini were so greasy my husband couldn’t eat it. Was not worth the $ we had to pay.

Good solid food for those who love home cooking. Service staff are well informed and friendly. Try the huge coconut shrimp. You won't be disappointed. Solid menu for all tastes.

My wife and I went to Stevens Street Grill this past Saturday. We arrived at around 7pm. After waiting several minutes for a host/hostess, an employee came up to us and told us that the restaurant manager refuses to hire enough staff to provide adequate service, and as such, we might want to find another restaurant to go to. She added that the staffing levels were so poor that if she seated us, it would likely be at least 2 hours before we received any food. From my vantage point, I observed 2 occupied tables. She said she was really sorry, and again recommended that we find another restaurant for both tonight and until the manager decides to hire the right number of staff members.
