Birthday weekend away in Tenterfield done right. My partner and I dined at Stonefruit last week and were blown away by the food and warm welcoming service. Alistair you really made us feel like VIPs when we arrived and really appreciated you allowing us to stay for so long. Great local wine list, had the Knucklehead Montepulciano which paid well with the beef. The talented all female kitchen team made the night. I can honestly say girls do it better! The food was incredible, I'm still dreaming about that tuna tartare! Preserved lemon and burnt orange...the flavours worked so well and was a highlight. The beef chuck with fennel for main was fantastic, no knife needed!! And can't forget that chocolate ice cream with lemon sorbet...insane combo! Cosy farm-to-plate restaurant and wine bar was well worth the trip. Thanks again to the whole team, we both left very full, tipsy and feeling a little like family! Cool place! Coffee snobs - get yours here! Great coffee & lunch/dinner bar, but a 10am opening so no breakfast. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $1–20

This was our second visit to Stonefruit, and it certainly won't be our last. The service is exceptional, and every dish we've tried has been absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a destination restaurant that's worth travelling for, we couldn't recommend Stonefruit more highly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
