Came in with prior knowledge of people rating the food and experience but unfortunately I came in and it immediately smelt of stale cigarette smoke and chip/ animal fat! It was overbearing. Unfortunately the chicken tenders weren’t tender and the chips were bland with too much salt. I could not finish the meal. Stop & Taste is a takeaway diner, with table seating if you want to eat your takeaway inside. The service was prompt and friendly. The menu choices are varied and well displayed. Now to the food.. the lamb chops as a starter were made from high quality meat and spicy with a kick but not excessive. Delicious. The beef burger in a brioche bun was succulent not surprising as the burgers are all made freshly onsite! Delicious. The crab and cheese burger tasty. Delicious. Hats off to Anton the Chef.. a local lad now serving his local community. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
