1 STAR — I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF GOOGLE ALLOWED IT AVOID SUBURRA 1930. DO NOT WASTE YOUR EVENING HERE. This was without question the worst restaurant experience we had in Rome. We had an 8:00 PM reservation and arrived on time. Our reservation apparently meant very little because our table was not ready. We then waited another 10–15 minutes before finally being seated. That inconvenience was nothing compared with what happened afterward. We sat at the table for OVER AN HOUR and still did not receive proper service. More than an hour. Sitting at a restaurant where we had made a reservation, waiting to be taken care of, and essentially being ignored. That is not a small delay. That is not simply a busy restaurant having an off night. That is an unacceptable way to treat customers. What makes it even worse is that this happened in Rome, a city where we experienced wonderful hospitality and excellent service at so many other restaurants. There are countless incredible places to eat here. There is absolutely no reason to risk ruining an entire evening at this one. A reservation should mean something. A customer sitting at your table for more than an hour should mean something. Apparently neither did here. If somebody recommends Suburra 1930 to you, please read this review before making your decision. Our experience was absolutely horrible, and I wish someone had warned us before we wasted our evening. Save your time. Save your money. Choose another restaurant. Based on what we personally experienced, I would never return, I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I strongly recommend that other travelers stay away. There are far too many excellent restaurants in Rome to tolerate service like this. Absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely incredible dining experience at Suburra 1930 Cucina e Liquori! After spending 10 days in Rome and sampling countless restaurants, this place stood out as the best by far. The food was simply divine—every dish was a perfect balance of flavors, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. The attention to detail was second to none, and it was clear that the chef pours passion and creativity into every plate. What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the warm and friendly atmosphere. The servers were incredibly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations that elevated the entire meal. The chef even came out to greet us, which made the experience feel so personal and special. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines exceptional food with outstanding hospitality, Suburra 1930 is a must-visit. It’s an unforgettable culinary gem in the heart of Rome!
